A recent live expanded cinema performance: a video image essay built from two sets of found images discovered at a local resale shop the day before. One, silhouette cartoons from a 1930s Ann Arbor newspaper. The other, a surreal assortment: a security cam squirrel, a helium blimp, The Bean, lions, wolves, boats, Niagara Falls—all low-res, blown up on 11x17 copy paper. These two discarded collections collapsed into each other through a third stream of images I generated live onstage with my iPhone.
Grateful to my old friend Nathan, who joined me onstage to manipulate field recordings we captured at the shop.
